Final Model

This is my final lamp. It stands on its own and should stand against a wall to get the full effect of the light reflecting on the wall. To give it more flair, I added little slips in the base to go along with the curve.

Final Idea

After many different ideas, I finally have my final Idea. I love how it projects on to the wall and how stands. This is just the preliminary for that final idea but the final will stand on its own against a wall.

This is my final prototype which is a standing lamp. Not even close to being fished but still holds many characteristics that i would like to see in my final model. For instance my final model will be standing. The middle lights up and has a plad type of pattern. The top still needs some more ideas. It will hold that circular shape throughout.

Preliminary models

These are my 3 initial prototypes. The top was supposed to be a lantern type design. The middle is supposed to be a standing lamp that changes the light with the paper swirling around it. The bottom lamp is a chandelier type of design.

Lamp Project Begins

For this project we are supposed to manipulate paper to create lamps. I have went through many models of what i want to do for the lamp. We had to start off with just simple paper manipulations. Than we used those to inspire us to create the first round of prototypes. I had to decide if I wanted my lamp to be hanging, standing, or on the wall. I made models that did all three ways.
